Maternity leave/child care leave

If your employer pays a salary for the first three months of your maternity leave, you pay the normal membership fees for those months. You can be exempted from paying the membership fee if you are on maternity or child care leave and you only receive a KELA allowance. In order to be exempted you need to notify the Akava Special Branches membership secretaries.
