Each new member supports a good cause

Each person recommending membership and each new member supports elderly care and environmental protection in Finland. Akava Special Branches donates one euro to charity for each new member. The sum accumulated over the year is divided equally between HelsinkiMissio and the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.

In the operations of HelsinkiMissio, the funds are directed to Aamukorva, a national telephone service for lonely senior citizens.

In the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation, the donations are directed to the protection of the endangered Saimaa ringed seal, the symbol of Finnish nature.
