Collective agreements in the private sector
Of the members of Akava Special Branches member organisations, approximately 9,500 work for companies and associations. We have members in practically all fields covered by collective agreements, as well as in fields and jobs that are not yet within the scope of collective agreements.
Our members are represented in negotiations by the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff YTN, in which we work for fair terms of employment and fair pay in the occupations we represent.
YTN has concluded over 60 national and company-specific collective agreements for professional and managerial staff. In addition, Akava Special Branches is a direct contractual party in five collective agreements.
You can influence the development of your collective agreement and our negotiation goals through your member organisation. In Akava Special Branches, private sector lobbying is coordinated by the private sector advisory board, in which the member organisations have representation.
In the private sector, our members are organised into several different member organisations. Our members typically work in the following fields, for example:
- communications and languages
- HR and financial management
- education planning
- well-being and leisure
- assistant work.
